Cameron Peel
President/Chief Client Officer
Cameron grew up in the logistics world through his father starting Camrett when he was 6 years old. Cameron started his path at Old Dominion University (ODU) in 2007 with a double major in Maritime Supply-Chain Management and Decision Sciences along with a minor in Finance. After graduation, he took a job with Con-way Multimodal in Ann Arbor, MI to become a freight broker. At Con-way, he learned the necessary skills to make it in an inside sales environment. He learned quickly that the more people that knew his name, the more he was able to sale. After Con-way, he took to the streets and entered outside sales, selling boxes for Pratt Industries. Pratt taught Cameron when, where, and how to communicate with a customer. With Camrett’s purchase of the Riverbend facility, located in Fairlawn, VA, in 2015, Cameron decided to leave Pratt and move back to Southwest Virginia to become the Business Development Manager for Camrett. Now as Camrett’s President and CCO, his focus is growing organic business and bringing new opportunity to the company. Being at a family-owned company, he understands the extreme importance of relationships, both with our customers, our employees, and our community. Cameron also gives back to the community by serving on boards dedicated to community efforts and industry trends. He was the first president of the Pulaski Community Youth Center and now, as a past president, he advises new leadership to help advance the project. Cameron is also involved in many industry associations, participating in the Virginia Maritime Association’s Southwest Chapter as a member and as the director of Region III of the American Logistics Aid Network.
